Wayne Doran
I’m 50 years old, born and bred in Sunderland, and proud to call this club my life. I’ve been following the lads for over 43 years, ever since my first game in 1981 when we faced Rotherham in the league. From that day on, Sunderland AFC has been in my blood – through the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
Football is more than just the 90 minutes on the pitch – it’s the passion, the people, and the community that makes it special. That’s why I created Only Fools and SAFC: a fan-led space for match previews, reviews, Fanalysis, and honest chat about the club we all love.
Outside of football, I’m a lifelong fan of Only Fools and Horses. Trigger has always been my favourite character, though these days I’m probably more like Uncle Albert! Bringing those two passions together – Sunderland AFC and Only Fools – felt like the perfect way to add humour, character, and Wearside pride to this channel and website.
